How to Properly Groom Brows
How to Perfectly Shape Your Brows at Home
We acquired the best advice for building the ideal arch directly from the professionals.
As a result of the recent developments, we are all now our own nail technicians, aestheticians, and hair stylists in our living rooms. If there's one thing I can say after this quarantine, it's that I have a higher regard for beauty experts—from clipping our own bangs to taking off gel nails. No matter how much of a beauty genius you are, maintaining the contour of your brows is one of the most challenging things to do on your own in these challenging DIY times. We interviewed some of our favourite makeup professionals (virtually, of course) to give you tips on how to pluck, shape, and define your brows to perfection in order to help you achieve the shapeliest, most face-flattering results.
It should go without saying that the COVID-19 pandemic has significantly altered our way of life. Regularly scheduled beauty appointments for procedures like haircuts, brow shaping, and manicures—remember manicures?!—are on hold while salons are temporarily closed while everyone who can is (hopefully) helping slow the spread of the virus by staying home. A bushy brow is lovely, but after allowing our arches develop naturally for seven weeks, things may be starting to seem a touch *too* wild. We asked a few top eyebrow experts to give their must-know advice on how to maintain and take care of your arches from the comfort of your own home because we are currently the masters of our own beauty regimens.
1.Let your brows develop, and keep the tweezers hidden!:
This one is for everyone who has ever found themselves plucking with reckless abandon only to despise yourself later. Now is the ideal moment to let those brows grow out (it's not like anyone will see them; we all know how easy it is to get tweezer-happy). Try a brow serum like Grande Cosmetics GrandeBROW Brow Enhancing Serum . According to all the experts, a nice arch begins with having enough brow hair to work with. To strengthen and condition brow hairs, your product should be loaded with antioxidants, vitamins, and amino acids. To naturally speed up your renewal pace, you can also try massaging a little coconut or castor oil on your brows before night.
2 Determine the shape of your brows:
This is easier said than done, I know. The optimal brow shape for your face can be determined very easily, and all you need is a pencil. The specialists at Cosmetify claim that "Hold a pencil up to your left or right nostril and direct it straight up to your forehead to measure the length. This shows where the beginning of your brow should be. Determine where your brow should terminate by turning the pencil diagonally while keeping it in line with your nostril. Make sure it extends past the outer corner of your eye." Once you've mastered that, it will take a little more work to shape your brows. The pencil you were previously using should be held at a 45-degree angle next to your nostril, according to the experts. This shows where the beginning of your natural arch should be. Your pencil should point precisely where your brow arch should be, just past your pupil.
3.Tame the area you've chosen:
Okay, you've established your base and created your outline. But hold on! Take some time to prime before you pluck those bad boys. This will help you avoid making more errors later on. a few recommendations: The founder of Laura Geller Beauty and cosmetic artist Laura Geller emphasises the need to avoid needless tweezing by avoiding magnified mirrors, which are known as the "gateway drug to overplucking." Additionally, tweeze after a hot shower, advises Audrianna Mora, a licenced aesthetician and RevitaLash Cosmetics' global education manager. The technique is slightly less unpleasant because the warm water softens the hairs.
4 Pick (carefully!):
Start by brushing your brows up and across when you're ready to see the shape. And finally, remove any bothersome stray hairs one or two at a time. It's crucial to use light pressure when plucking your eyebrows, advises Cosmetify. "Pay attention to stray hairs under your brow bone, around your eyelid, and in the centre of your brows." Try drawing your desired form and using it as a reference to determine where to remove hairs for the ultimate clean trim. Mora continues, "Remember that eyebrows are sisters, not twins. Perfect symmetry is unlikely to be achieved and will probably result in over-plucking.

5 Complete the gaps:
Now is the moment to fill in those empty spaces. According to celebrity makeup artist Grace Lee, "first, use a thin brow pencil, such Maybelline New York Brow Ultra Slim Defining Pencil , to create small, sparse, and hair-like strokes." To simulate a more realistic, micro-bladed look for wider gaps, we advise a product with a forked tip, such as Laura Geller Heavenly Brows 24 Hour Brow Marker. "Then, expand until you reach the desired fullness. You may always use a spoolie to mix if you feel like you have gone too far."

6 Apply eyebrow gel:
We're getting close! Add a tiny bit of brow gel as the finishing touch to keep your creation in place. Brushing your brows up is the secret to making them appear fuller, advises Mora. Use a brow gel to brush up brows and provide long-lasting definition, such as RevitaLash Hi-Def Brow Gel.
